Too cool for School eye masks

These essentially function as sheet masks for the eye area, which is a fantastic way of de-puffing and de-bagging while getting on with the rest of your routine, and perhaps, if you're really impatient (not unlike moi) making a start on your makeup!
I was getting ready to host a mini new year's celebratory gathering just FYI, which is why the decorations were still up. And the snuggly red riding hood dressing gown was a Christmas present (expect loads of pics of me in this, it's the warmest, comfiest thing, like ... ever.)

Too cool for school - Abracadabra Mask

This is a gel mask, similar in design to the Banila Co lace hydrogel mask. It fit comfortably sans any wrinkled or raised bits, and deposited the essence in a timely fashion. Shadows lightened up, skin around the socket felt firmer, and it made me look like a masked crusader for half an hour while I lounged about drinking tea. All the good stuff, overall I'd give it a 4/5.

Too cool for school - Applezone butterfly mask

For the 'applezone' (cheek and under-eye area), cut into the shape of a butterfly (awww). I was hoping that the mask would be an egg shell blue as depicted on the packaging, instead it turned out to be the plain translucent/off-white. The incredibly thin cotton material was completely drenched in essence, which made it tricky to unfold without tearing. When it came to wear, the shape made it almost impossible to sit properly beneath the lash line (could have simply been down to my narrow face but still... not impressed) so the sections that extended from the bridge of the nose toward my temples were slightly raised, which there was nothing I could do about really. The coolness of the serum refreshed and calmed the skin, but unfortunately I didn't see any evidence that the supposed brightening properties did their magic, both immediately after and the following morning. It was very hydrating and cooling if nothing else, but I am unlikely to re-purchase due to the tricky shape. 3/5.
