Skincare Tools

Just as we have tools for makeup, we should have tools for skincare.

A'Pieu silk cocoon balls

These are supposed to contain collagen which activates once soaked in warm water - the idea is that you wear them on your fingers like so:

... and use to gently scrub in a circular motion as part of a deep cleanse routine and very light exfoliation. I'm still getting to grips with these; so far I'm not liking the little too organic smell (musty) nor the fact that they don't all fit my fingertips perfectly which results in them slipping off mid-cleanse.

The pore brush classic

Like the clarisonic, the bristles are incredibly soft yet sturdy, which makes for both a gentle yet effective cleanse and a decent exfoliation on its own without any product. I do however use with my foaming cleanser to ensure that my skin is getting the most of the anti acne properties.

Missha devil's tongue jelly puff (charcoal konjac sponge)

I have loved the incredible texture of these from day one; squidgy/smooth when wet, and hard and rough (oo-er) when dry. I use a charcoal one in the shower for further sebum control and for a nice relaxing warm massage, all over face and decollete.
