Recently been bulking up the liquid lipstick collection, and in so doing I've begun a hunt for the perfect matte nude capable of finely complementing a fairer complexion. I immediately purchased the highly sought after 'Libra' shade from Black Moon Cosmetics, and while I'm happy overall, I'm a little disappointed that it isn't exactly what I expected. Apologies in advance for the quality, having destroyed my SLR I'm currently sans means to take high res pics of my lips :/
The consistency boasts a very light and creamy texture that dries almost instantly, which makes application smooth and wear long lasting. I'm annoyed primarily that the shade composed a higher level of brick red within the pigment than advertised. On their website and instagram, those modeling Libra all appeared to be wearing what I would describe as a 'taupe-ified thistle pink' which looked perfect, but in the flesh it's more comparable to their 'Harvest' shade, which is unfortunate. It's still nice, just not really what I was hoping to get. It's due to this that I'm a bit hesitant about picking up any more from their range, which is a shame.
Needless to say, the artwork on the packaging is beautiful and impressively original.

I have more liquid lippies on the way from across the pond; some Lime Crime and Jeffree Star Cosmetics, which I can't wait to try out once they get to my doorstep - watch this space. :D
