Lululun Pink (moisture)
These posts will just cover different types of sheet masks I've used over the weeks - approx. seven different masks per post.
The Japanese sheet masks LuLuLun are some of the most popular in the Asian beauty realm. There are seven mask sheets in this resealable packet, intended for use for seven straight days I'm assuming; opening and leaving for any longer could cause the remaining serum to dry up. I prolonged the life of these by keeping them in the fridge after opening, but to be honest I'm not impressed with the hygiene factor here. You're left with no choice but to handle at least two masks at a time in order to 'unstick' them from one another... eughh. The material is standard cotton, which feels quite rough once dry, but I can't deny that the moisturising properties of the serum were longer lasting than others I've tried for the same purpose. Bought these specifically for the winter when my skin gets slightly dry; unfortunately however since the benefits last for two or more days I wouldn't use these for seven days in a row, which negates the whole idea behind the resealable packaging. Not repurchasing. 3/5.
The Face Shop - real nature mask - Aloe
This is just a general aloe vera mask I've used in the past to soothe the redness of blemishes and rosy cheeks etc. It was very cooling and refreshing, and gave my skin a good hydration boost. Good masks to use in the summer I'd imagine, especially on days you feel a little flushed. 3/5.
Missha 3D Bamboo sheet mask
This is one of the first 3D masks I've experimented with; the mask has a fold at the centre allowing for a supposedly better fit around the nose and chin area. The material dried after only twenty minutes, and there was a slight sticky feel to my skin afterwards. It was an OK one to use, but I didn't draw any specific benefits from it that would set it apart from any others. 3/5.
Mediheal - Placenta revital essential mask
Another placenta mask... :D I really like silk masks, they feel soft and thinner material makes for better contour molding. I went into placenta masks a little in my post (Sheet masks: the weird ones) this is a pretty popular ingredient in Korea that helps to promote cell turnover and provide all round nourishment. This was a nice mask to use, however I did feel a very thin bit of tack all over afterwards, nothing that couldn't be rinsed off before I went to bed. I think it's a sign I need to invest in a decent skin prep, but we'll see. 3/5.
P.S. Love your skin 3D Rejuvenate mask
Just a western sheet mask someone picked up for me once upon a time. I think this is Primark's own skincare brand, which is not something I ever thought I'd be using. I'm convinced that I would burst into flames if I ever walked into that place, even for a pair of tights. This is the first and only mask I've ever used that covers the neck as well as the face. It's another 3D mask with a giant crease down the middle, but unlike the Missha one, this is actually designed for more western contours and larger eyes. The material overlapped my mouth area and nose (which I trimmed later on) but at least it covered my full face as oppose to a lot I've used with more of a circular shape to them. Didn't do a lot to be honest, bit of moisture, the effect of which wasn't long lasting. 2/5.

Ja Yeon Mapping - yellow ochre
The quality of these masks were surprisingly incredible considering the pennies I paid for them. Yellow ochre/(ocher) or gold ochre, is a natural pigment extracted from the earth; it was originally utilised for painting/dye in prehistoric times. In case you're wondering no, it didn't turn my face yellow, it did however make my face feel hydrated and silky smooth sans any pooling on the skin. The mask itself was completely saturated in essence and I had a little fight with the 'goo' while I was unfolding the darn thing, but it made for better adhesion. The effects were long lasting, and I in fact skipped my exfoliation that week due to the incredibly softness of my skin, not a flake in sight! I'm still unsure as to the skincare benefits of yellow ochre, I'm assuming because it's an earth based component the properties could perhaps be similar to that of clay? I don't know, I'm no expert. In any case these masks get a 4/5 from me.
