Pretty Sheet masks (packaging)

Just sharing some pics of a few masks I've procured that I haven't yet used because I like the packaging so much!

Not so Hot

Been feeling a little extremely under the weather lately; whether it's mumps, glandular fever, or mono I began battling a horrific ailment approx two weeks ago that has only just started to improve. All I know for absolute certain is that it bloody well wasn't tonsillitis like the barely out of OshKosh B'gosh junior doctors have been stipulating (I swear three trips to the doctors when I could barely speak and one four hour wait in A&E taught me two things: the caliber of medical professionals in this country is dwindling, perhaps in large part to cuts and privatisation, and at my absolute weakest, I can still outsmart  people with degrees in medicine.) Sorry, I am very friendly and approachable but I will never have the patience or a shred of respect for quacks. Anywho, no thanks to 'doctors' I managed to procure a course of antibiotics and some decent painkillers along with a few other over the counter specifics, including anesthetic sprays and the like. Eventually with isolation and bedrest I was on the mend, but the biggest aid came in the not so unlikely form of tea. Yogi tea to be exact.

I had a severely painful throat at the time and had a lot of difficulty getting any liquids down. Not only is this tea absolutely delicious, but it made my throat and chest feel wonderful for hours after ingestion. I imagine the herbal vapour would help to relieve nasal passages during a cold too. I actually thought it made me slightly high, but in retrospect that was more likely to do with being ill and slightly delirious.

And to help keep my temperature down, I utilised a sheet mask or two. It helped to soothe my tired skin a well as alleviate feverishness. I used various green tea masks, though I wish I hadn't used all my aloe vera or cucumber ones as they'd probably have been more effective for this specific purpose. Slowly but surely coming out of this nastiness, hopefully I'll be up and at 'em in no time. I hate having the mange, it's extremely counterproductive... to everything.

Top 10 geeky makeup

This post is dedicated to the memories of both Alan Rickman and David Bowie. Two of my favourite British icons of the last century, bless you and your families. R.I.P
